Swanley Wildlife and Nature Group (SWAN) is a group of volunteers that has been working in partnership with the Town Council since 2001 to create the Environment Area in Swanley Park featuring wildflower meadows, native trees and hedging and other habitats for insects and bugs.
The group holds an annual Open Day in June offering visitors the chance to do bug hunts, wildflower identifications and find out about SWANs work.
There are no membership fees to join SWAN, tools are provided and everyone can enjoy learning about wildlife and nature while having fun!
New volunteers to the Group are always welcome, especially families. SWAN normally works at the Environment Area, Swanley Park from 10am -12noon on the last Saturday of most months

Swanley Wildlife & Nature Group has was been awarded 1st Place and given a Certificate of Excellence for its work in the Environment Area, Swanley Park in the Best Community Environmental Project category of Swanley in Bloom 2018.
