TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14 (2) as amended by The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

Kent County Council gives notice that Beechenlea Lane, Swanley is closed to through traffic, on or after 22 May 2017 for up to 5 nights.

The road is closed 5 metres each side of the bridge.

The alternative route is via London Road - High Street - Swanley Lane - Highland Hill.

It is planned the road will be closed between the hours of 21.00pm and 05.30am.

The closure is necessary to enable urgent bridge works to repair loose bricks on the parapet to be carried out by Network Rail Ltd.

This Notice applies when the relevant signs and barriers are on site, and is valid for a period of no more than 21 days.

Community Grant Aid

Swanley Town Council offers community grant aid to those organisations and businesses that improves the wellbeing of Swanley and its residents or enhances the reputation of Swanley.

Each application is required to demonstrate a need for grant aid and each application should be accompanied by a copy of the organisation’s up-to-date accounts showing clearly any balances in hand, together with a prediction of expected expenditure throughout the ensuing year, including any anticipated capital expenditure. No grant will be paid prior to receipt of the organisation’s accounts. In addition, evidence of grant applications and awards by another Local Authority or affiliated Body must be supplied.

Grants are awarded in July and March each year.
