Armed Forces Day 24 June 2017

Armed Forces Day

On 24th June 2017 Swanley Town Council will be holding their first Armed Forces Day on Swanley Recreation Ground. This free event will be open to the public from 10.30am – 6.00pm.

We are working closely with the Army, Air and Sea Cadets to put this event on. The Royal British Legion and Help 4 Heroes have already confirmed that they will be in attendance on the day.

There will be displays taking place in the main arena throughout the day. The main parade will begin at 2.30pm with the Armed Forces Flag being raised.

There will be children’s activities including inflatables, BB Gun range and some fairground rides. A full range of refreshments will be available on the day including a Hog Roast, Burgers, Candy Floss and Donuts. There will also be a licenced bar selling Real Ale, Lager and Pimms.

The Civic Manager, Toni Roast said “I hope that people will put this date in their diaries and come along to support the local Armed Forces Groups.”

Swanley Town Council would like to hear from any local community groups or businesses who would be interested in having a promotion or fund raising stand on the day.
